My focus is to bring clarity to a person’s natural emotions to help in decision making and guide behavior choices. This allows the individual to personalize their goals and make a plan for change. The therapy models used are psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, the Four Quadrant Model of Personality and hypnotherapy.
My clinical approach is eclectic focusing on client identified concerns, basic and learned attitudes, and addressing distorted attitudes and traumatic conditioning that keep a person from being in charge of their life.
“People do not recognize fully the development and importance of the sex drive and do not realize it is the physical body they have not taught.” Barham & Greene
Individuals and couples with concerns about sexuality and intimacy often have a desire to enhance communication skills, increase emotional and physical intimacy and address sexual dysfunction. Some barriers to this may be fear of intimacy, repeated destructive relationships and intimate partner violence. To bring about change I guide the therapy using the PLISSIT Sex Therapy Model as well as psychodynamic, Four Quadrant Personality Model, natural emotions, cognitive -behavioral therapy and hypnotherapy.
